There are several equestrian parks in the town and its surroundings, there is a water ski course in Ikrény and in Győr innumerable further sporting opportunities provide bringing up to strength.

 

The Bishop Wood of Győr is a popular place for doing walks among those that love wildlife. By the 9-kilometer long walking passage there are wood exercising fields and toys and the educational passage presents the inland flora and fauna in their natural biotope.

 

Benedictine Prelatic Monastery of Pannonhalma, the set of buildings and surroundings of which were declared to be part of World Heritage in December 1996 (25 km). In the Monastery the church, the crypt, the ambulatory and the library can be visited in a guided visit. Thanks to the revival of the grape-growing and oenology traditions of the monastery, the Vinery of the Monastery can be visited since March 2004 where the visitors coming here can taste the renowned liquors of the wine growing region of Pannonhalma - Sokoróalja.

 

The beauties of Szigetköz (Land of Islands) are worth discovering (34-50 km, depending on the localities visited) on foot, by water, by bicycle and in mounted tours. The greatest attraction of Szigetköz is its exceptionally rich and versatile biology, this land is the true paradise of water tours, anglers and the fans of cycling.
